I grew up in Fort Myers, Florida where I began swimming as a small child. I lived there until I went to college at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida and experienced swimming for the ACC for a year. Upon graduating, I moved to Tampa, Florida where I worked in sales until I met my husband and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to get married. After only a short time in Charlotte we moved to Greensboro, had a little boy and I became a full time mother. I have drawn many positive experiences from the sport of swimming, so have returned to be a part of the sport from a different angle.
