Dorsey Tierney-Walker
Head Coach

Dorsey Tierney-Walker brings more than 25 years of coaching experience across the club, collegiate, national, and international levels. Throughout her career, she has coached Olympians, World Champions, NCAA Champions, All-Americans, conference champions, and national-level athletes while helping swimmers pursue their individual goals in and out of the pool.
Her collegiate coaching career has included leadership positions at Indiana University, Auburn University, Arizona State University, and The Ohio State University. At Indiana, she was recognized as Big Ten Coach of the Year. At Auburn, she was part of the coaching staff that led the Tigers to back-to-back NCAA Team Championships and earned NCAA Coach of the Year honors in 2007.
Dorsey's athlete-centered coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, accountability, resilience, and long-term development. She is committed to creating a positive team environment where swimmers can pursue ambitious goals while developing a lifelong appreciation for the sport.

Abby Lindsay
Assistant coach

Abby grew up in Greensboro and began swimming with GSA at age seven. She trained and competed with GSA throughout her age-group career before attending Georgia Southern University, where she competed at the NCAA Division I level for four years.
Abby developed her passion for coaching as Head Coach of the Bur-Mil Marlins in the Greensboro Community Swim Association. She later became a USA Swimming coach and gained additional club coaching experience in Statesboro, Georgia.
Abby earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University. As a GSA alumna, she is excited to be coaching her home team and helping the next generation of GSA swimmers develop and succeed.

Louisa Raisbeck
Coach

Louisa was raised in Durham, England, and began competitive swimming at age nine. She competed at the national and international levels before retiring from competitive swimming.
Louisa moved to Indiana for graduate school and served as an assistant swim coach at Indiana University from 2002–2009, during which the program won multiple Big Ten Championships. She later served as Head Coach of the Counsilman Center Swim Team before transitioning into academia.
Louisa holds a BSc in Sport Science, an MS in Motor Behavior, and a PhD in Human Performance. Her coaching combines experience in competitive swimming with expertise in motor learning, skill development, and human performance.

Ali Hibbard
Assistant Coach

Ali grew up in Durham, North Carolina, where she discovered her love for swimming with the Black Horse Run summer swim team and continued competing throughout high school.
Ali earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in 2023. While at Appalachian State, she spent three years working in the university's Recreation Center Aquatics Department, teaching swim lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Ali is currently pursuing her graduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and joined GSA in February 2024. She enjoys creating a positive and encouraging training environment where swimmers can develop their skills, confidence, and love of the sport.
